Pi already lives an unusual life, and he is about to
experience something he will remember forever.
Pi Patel's family owns a zoo in
India. But soon they are forced to move all the way to Canada. With a ship full
of animals, they set off to a new life. But when the ship sinks, Pi must fend
for himself on a tiny life boat. The only other survivors are a zebra, an
orangutan, a hyena and a Bengal tiger. Young Pi must use his knowledge of
animals and survival to stay alive. His threat not only comes from limited food
and water, but also from his companions. Life of Pi is a story of survival in
the most unique of circumstances. It has a mix of action, drama, suspense, and
a hint of humor. You'll be eager to read and find out what the open seas have
to offer.
