A minimum of 8 children is required for storytimes and programs to be held. Children must be residents of Evanston or attend school in District 65. Book Babies and Time for Twos is limited to 12 children with a parent or caregiver. Time for Twos is meant to be a special time for a parent and child, so no older or younger siblings. Registration required unless otherwise noted.
February Weekend Family Films: Eight Below

An American geologist flies to Antarctica to participate in a project at the united States Research base and teams up with arctic guide Jerry Shepard, his best friend Cooper, and a pack of 8 sled dogs who have rescued Shepard from a number of tight spots. As the three men explore a frozen mountain region, an unexpected accident and a massive storm front forces them to fly to safety, leaving the dogs behind. The dogs must struggle against the elements to survive as they attempt to make their way back home. 2006

Parent Child Workshop

This program turns our Community Meeting Room into a learning environment for young children ages 1, 2, and 3, and their parents or caregivers. Siblings up to age 5 are welcome, too. Enjoy a large, safe play-space, meet other parents and caregivers, and speak with invited guests who specialize in early childhood. Register online, in person, or by phone at 847-448-8610.
