A minimum of 8 children is required for storytimes and programs to be held. Children must be residents of Evanston or attend school in District 65. Book Babies and Time for Twos is limited to 12 children with a parent or caregiver. Time for Twos is meant to be a special time for a parent and child, so no older or younger siblings. Registration required unless otherwise noted.
May Weekend Family Films: Dolphin Tale

Based on true events, this family film is about Winter, a young dolphin who lost her tail in a crab trap, and Sawyer, the introverted 11-year-old boy who befriends her. Sawyer meets the rescued dolphin at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, a marine rehabilitation center where she lives. Sawyer rallies friends and family alike to save Winter by convincing a pioneering doctor to create a unique prosthetic appendage to restore the dolphin's ability to swim. 2012
