Some ideas for your book reviews (written, video, photo, or podcast!)

  • (written) If you were stuck on a spaceship with the main character, how would you respond? Why? Let us know something significant about the character in your response.
  • (written)Pick a character from the book and describe him/her. What makes that character tick? Describe a scene from the book that you think really tells who that character is.
  • (written) Describe the universe, or setting, of the book you read. Why is the setting important to the story you just read?
  • (written)Take on the voice of one of the characters. What if you were talking to that character right now, this summer of 2010?
  • (drawing or design) Think about what, in your view, makes a great cover. How would you design or draw the cover so that an unfamiliar reader would HAVE to pick it up because it looks so good?
  • (audio) Narrate a brief review of the story (no spoiler!), or take on the voice of one of the characters.
  • (audio) Describe some aspect of the story (an event or character, for example) from the perspective of a creature from another planet.
  • (video) Pick a scene from the book you just read that you think would entice others to read the book
