Summer reading makes you more creative, builds your expertise in subjects that interest you, makes you smarter about the world around you, and helps you retain knowledge learned in school. Literacy is expansive: it includes writing, research, technology, fact and fiction, creativity, and problem solving. But it all starts and ends with reading. Using reading as a foundation for exploration and visiting the library to participate in our many events for all ages is one of the best ways to spend the summer.
Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.
