Title: The Kiss Quotient

Call #: Fiction Hoang, H

Here’s a sexy romance with a twist! The heroine is on the autism spectrum and the author is too; in fact, she was diagnosed just before she started writing. Ms. Hoang rewrites Pretty Woman as Pretty Man: A woman hires an escort — and falls in love. Stella is an econometrician who predicts customer behavior with data; she makes lots of money, but she has no luck with relationships, especially love relationships. She decides to hire Michael as a ‘tutor’ to teach her the sexual arts. Soon however she wants to know how to have a real relationship, too. In fact, she’s very much in love, but constrained by her “practice contract”; it is a great premise for a modern love story. This books is very well written and loads of fun! I especially loved meeting and learning about Michael’s Vietnamese mother and grandmother. Can’t wait for more from Ms. Hoang.
