Saturday, August 11, 10 am, Falcon Room, Main Library
If you’ve always wanted to learn CPR or First Aid, here’s your chance!
A training module on the Red Cross website will be available starting Aug.1 and hands-on training sessions will be held at the library on Aug 11 and Aug 18. In order to be fully certified, participants must complete both the online module and one of the in-person hands on training sessions.
Participants will receive a Red Cross training module access code via email. They may then login and complete the 2-3 hour online pre-certification course on the Red Cross website at their convenience.
In-person training sessions will be offered on Aug. 11 and Aug. 18 at the Evanston Public Library. Hands-on skills will be taught and accessed over the course of 2 hours.
These free Red Cross sessions are available in partnership with Northwestern University’s Community Health Corps, whose Red Cross certified student trainers will be conducting the hands-on certification sessions. This training opportunity is open to both city staff and Evanston community members alike.
