The move from high school to college is an exciting and vulnerable time. Dr. Bernard will discuss useful perspectives and tactics that all students can use to prepare for the academic, emotional, and personal challenges that come with transitioning to college. She will demonstrate proven methods for developing the habits of mind and employing the on-campus strategies that correspond with persistence, learning, and degree completion in college. Megan Bernard has coached hundreds of students through successful, meaningful college experiences and on to careers, graduate school, and professional degrees. She is an experienced university instructor and veteran academic advisor who provides compassionate and thorough support to diverse student populations.
Dr. Bernard has a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, where she was a Fellow in both the Center for Leadership and the Searle Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning. She is the founder of Kairos College Success Consulting.
