Kids' Events

A minimum of 8 children is required for storytimes and programs to be held. Children must be residents of Evanston or attend school in District 65.  Book Babies and Time for Twos is limited to 12 children with a parent or caregiver. Time for Twos is meant to be a special time for a parent and child, so no older or younger siblings. Registration required unless otherwise noted.

Come visit Evanston's parks the week of July 25th for a fun drop-in MakerKids science activity using bubbles!  Kids & students of all ages welcome. Come learn something fun while enjoying the great weather. See you there!

July Family Storytime & Craft


Monday, July 25, 6:30 pm, Main Library and North Branch  Also: August 1st at the Main only

The working parent friendly Family Storytime and Craft storytimes take place again this Mondays at the Main Library or North Branch (Mondays@ 6:30) which is for kids ages 3 - 7 and their parents or grandparents. You are welcome to join at any point.

Summer Reading Program ends 7/31!

The Read for the Win Summer Reading Program of the Evanston Public Library ends July 31st! If you are signed up for the program, make sure you finish your log and come claim your prizes before 7/31. Not registered yet? Sign up today; there's still time to earn your free book.

On vacation during the end of July? The Main Children's Room will award books to kids who completed their logs until school starts, but no other prizes will be awarded after 7/31. (Summer camp- based programs may end a different date.)

Family Lego Night - August 8!

Come build Lego Tree Houses; bring the whole family! Geared to elementary school kids and their parents, but ages 3 and up welcome. Drop-in; no registration is required.
