Kids' Events

A minimum of 8 children is required for storytimes and programs to be held. Children must be residents of Evanston or attend school in District 65.  Book Babies and Time for Twos is limited to 12 children with a parent or caregiver. Time for Twos is meant to be a special time for a parent and child, so no older or younger siblings. Registration required unless otherwise noted.

The Young and the Restless NEW at Gibbs-Morrison

New!  Bring your infant, 1 or 2 year old to this fun monthly singalong storytime led by The Young and the Restless leader,  Ms. Martha, at Evanston's newest cultural center, just northeast of Evanston Township High School.

The Young and the Restless program on Thursdays at 9:30 am at the Evanston Public Library's Community Meeting Room will continue weekly as usual.


MakerKids over Winter Break!


Winter Break is a great time of year for kids to learn to create, not just consume, to work with their hands and have fun together in a multi-age setting. Sign up your elementary school student for one of our daily MakerKids programs. Register starting December 5, 9am!

Lights! Camera! Action! Stop Motion Animation, Friday January 6,  1pm Grades K - 21:30 pm Grades 3 - 5.



Family Lego Night

Bring the whole family to create together! Geared to elementary school kids and their parents, but ages 3 and up welcome. Drop-in; no registration is required.
