Finding articles in the Evanston Review
The Evanston Review has been Evanston's weekly newspaper since June 4, 1925. All editions of the Evanston Review may be viewed in print or microfilm in the main library's magazine department (3rd Floor).
Newsbank- Selected Evanston Review articles, from September 28, 1995 to the present, are available full text through Newsbank. Newsbank is available from outside the library with a valid Evanston Public Library card number.

- Citations and abstracts of articles not included in Newsbank may be located by searching the library's Evanston Review Index included in the Evanston Public Library catalog. The electronic Evanston Review Index began in 1999. In addition to current items, citations and abstracts to articles from earlier years are continuously being added. Articles from 1925 and 1967-1972 are currently included in the index. A card file index to the Evanston Review, covering the years 1972-1999, and an obituary index, covering the years 1925-1999, are located in the Reference Department of the library.
