Who can use the Internet at the library?
Wireless Internet access is freely available at all locations of the Library. The network name is EPL-WIFI.
A library card number is not required to use the Internet computer workstations. Users without a library card may obtain a guest pass at the third floor Tech Desk. Computers may be used by patrons of any age.
Computers are located on 3rd floor of the Main Library:
- 25 total workstations with Internet access, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher
- 10 workstations with unfiltered Internet access located on the west side of the third floor
- 15 stations have filtered Internet access. All stations are located on the third floor in the Main library.
- An Accessible Internet station is available on the west side of the 3rd floor. This station is equipped with a screen magnifier/reader and is wheelchair accessible. Users should sign up for this station at the Tech Desk or Reference Desk on the 3rd floor.
How do I use the computer?
Users can sign themselves on to any computer displaying AVAILABLE on the screen. If there is a future reservation for that station, it will be displayed on the screen.
If all the computers are busy or you want to make a reservation for a future time (up to two days in advance), you can make a reservation at use the reservation station located on the third floor or at the Tech Desk.
How long can I use a computer?
Computer sessions are one hour long. If no other user is waiting, the system will automatically extend the session.
How do I print?
Printing is available for 20 cents a page for black and white copies, and 50 cents a page for color copies. Pick up and pay for print-outs at the Tech Desk. You may also print from home using our wireless printing service. For 20 cents black and white; 50 cents color.
Headphones and chargers may be checked out from the Tech desk with an ID or library card.
