Public Parking Facilities Near the Main Library

Evanston Public Library Basement Garage

Hours: This garage is open the same hours as the Main Library. Cars left in this garage after Library closing must remain in the garage until the Library reopens the next day. The hours are:

Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 12 Noon to 6 p.m.

 

Rates: Parking meters are enforced from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Meters cost 25¢ for 20 minutes. Maximum time allowed is 2 hours.

Number of spaces: 39 regular, 5 handicapped

Directions: Enter from Orrington Avenue using the driveway north of the Library. Call the Library Administrative office 847-448-8650 for more information.

Surface Lot East of the Main Library (behind Evanston Women’s Club)

Hours: This metered lot is accessible 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Rates: Parking meters are enforced from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Meters cost 25¢ for 30 minutes. Maximum time allowed is 2 hours. Parking is free after 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sunday.

Number of spaces: 71 regular, 3 handicapped

Directions: Enter from Church Street using the driveway east of the Library.
