Book Discussions

The Evanston Public Library has monthly book discussion groups for readers of all interests, including: African-American Literature, History Books, Narrative Non-Fiction, Graphic Novels, Science Fiction & Fantasy and more. Check below for the date of this month’s meetings.

In addition to our monthly groups, Mission Impossible is an ongoing book discussion series with the goal of reading the world’s most difficult, “bucket-list” novels with plenty of camaraderie and support. Our next literary challenge is to tackle As I Lay Dying, The Sound and the Fury, and Absalom, Absalom! as part of Mission Impossible: Faulkner. The mission begins in September 2018 so stay tuned for details.

For a complete list of book discussions, please see our new event calendar.

Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.
