The Lunch-n-More Catering and Food Service Enterprise is an innovative social enterprise which serves as a culinary job training program for special populations in need of employment, including those at risk of homelessness, homeless veterans, women in recovery, and refugees in Chicago. The program also employs high-risk, low- income youth in the summer months. What began as a pilot “boxed lunches” initiative by clients participating in Catholic Charities Cooke’s Manor Program for veterans in recovery, has now expanded to provide healthy, nutritious meals for seniors and children 18 years and younger. Lunch-n-More provides meals for the Summer Food Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), home-delivered meals and congregate meals.
Eligibility Requirements: Seniors who are home bound and require delivery, or who take their meals in a congregate setting at a senior center.
