The Mitchell Museum of the American Indian is one of the few museums in the United States focused exclusively on the history, culture and arts of the Native people of the United States and Canada. It uses its collection of over 10,000 objects as well as temporary exhibits to tell the story and promote a deeper understanding of America's native people. Membership and volunteer opportunities available.
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 10a.m. – 5p.m., Thursday 10a.m. to 8p.m., Sunday 12noon to 4p.m.
Closed: Mondays, and the following holidays - New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.
Weekend Crafts: Saturdays 11:00am – 12:00pm, Sundays 12:30pm – 1:30pm.
