Founded on June 6, 2002, Shorefront Legacy Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to recording, studying and preserving the experiences of African Americans living in Chicago's North Shore communities, particularly Evanston, Glencoe and Lake Forest. Publishes Shorefront Online Journal.
The Legacy Center, a museum and research center, is open to the public for research initiatives, exhibits and various public programs.
Hours: Weekdays by appointment, Saturdays, 9 am.-2 pm.
