Community Shareback

In the fall of 2021, nearly 200 Evanstonians helped the Evanston Public Library embark on a journey to advance its equity, diversity and inclusion efforts, meaningfully engage communities, and build community relationships through a series of listening engagements.

On Thursday, Jan. 20, the Evanston Public Library hosted a virtual Community Shareback event and encouraged residents to participate with incentives, giveaways, and an opportunity to have a voice in the Library’s next steps.

Strong & Starlike Consulting, Inc., which facilitated the listening sessions, shared insights that emerged from the fall’s 10 listening sessions and, along with Library staff, discussed how that feedback will be used to advance the Library’s goals to better serve the Evanston community.

Watch the videos below for a recap of the Community Shareback event.
