Harvard Librarian Commits to Digital Library by 2013

Harvard University’s Robert Darnton has stated that the Digital Public Library of America will be up and running by next April. The goal of this national nonprofit is to make available millions of free books and digitized special collections. This sounds like an ambitious project and there are many technical issues to work out. Let’s hope they succeed. This Publisher’s Weekly article provides more details.
