Recycle Electronics

As part of our efforts to support the City of Evanston’s Climate Action and Resilience Plan, the Evanston Public Library is partnering with an organization called Medic to collect old phones, tablets and accessories.

What items do you accept?

Accepted items include small electronics, such as:

  • phones
  • chargers
  • digital cameras
  • tablets
  • and more…

See the complete list of accepted items.

The accepted items are collected and recycled by The Wireless Alliance, and the proceeds obtained are used by Medic to fund open-source software and support health workers across Africa and Asia.

What happens to my electronics?

Do you want to know how your phone will be recycled and what happens to the data stored on it? Find out more here.
