We are pleased to introduce local photographer and architect Michael Berns as the next artist in our ongoing exhibition series Local Art @ EPL. From now through the end of January, his evocative photographic collection From Within – From Without will be on display on the 2nd floor of EPL’s Main Branch. Inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson’s “decisive moment,” the show presents twenty-four striking black and white images captured everywhere from the Washington D.C. subway to the Texas rodeo circuit. You can meet Mr. Berns at an opening reception on Sunday, January 13th from 2-4 pm, and make sure to check back with Off the Shelf later in the month for a featured interview with the artist himself.
