New Dragon Tattoo Novel

17artsbeat-tattoo-articleInlineA sequel to Stieg Larsson’s popular Millennium series (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest) is due to be published in August 2015. Larsson died in 2004 and was working on the fourth volume, but because of a dispute between his partner and his family, the publisher asked journalist/author David Lagercrantz to continue the series. “Stoked by Stieg”- More Larsson Read-Alikes

EarlyWord posted this brief item about “Swedish Noir”—   authors who write in a similar style to Stieg Larsson. Along with this short article is a link (USA Today) to outlines of the plots of each novel mentioned. Lastly, Dierdre Donahue explains which Scandinavian authors are on book tour this summer in the states.

 

 

The book on the lower right will be Henning Mankell’s last in his very well-liked series featuring somber Kurt Wallander. NPR had a short interview with the author this morning asking abut his decision to “kill” off his character.    Shira S.
