We are pleased to introduce Evanston artist Ted Glasoe as the next to be featured in our ongoing exhibition series Local Art @ EPL.  Fresh off his stunning May exhibit showcasing EPL’s peregrine falcons, Glasoe now presents a selection of breathtaking Lake Michigan photographs designed to explore “the compelling and unexpected alliance of nature and our urban environment.”  You can catch his show through June 30th on the 2nd floor of EPL’s Main Library and find more of Glasoe’s work by visiting his website.  Also, make sure to check back with Off the Shelf blog later in June for an interview with the artist himself.  Stay tuned.

Falcon watchers rejoice!  Not only have Nona and Squawker just hatched the newest additions to their falcon family, but now they’re also the stars of a special photography exhibit by Ted Glasoe.  An award-winning Evanston artist, Glasoe has captured more than 3500 stunning images of our EPL falcons over the past five years, and for this must-see display, he selected the 10 shots that best “show the peregrine’s beauty, power, and personality.”  The exhibit runs until June 8th on the 2nd floor landing of EPL’s Main Library, and you can see even more of Glasoe’s work by visiting his website.  Don’t miss it!
