If you’re looking so add some spice to your winter reads, check out what the Evanston
Ten Thousand Villages book club is reading on the first Monday of every month!
We kicked March off with a compelling story of an indigenous Guatemalan woman,
“I, Rigoberta Menchu: An Indian Woman in Guatemala” by Rigoberta Menchu, E. Burgos-Debray. In April our title was, “Waterlily”, a novel that explored the cultural life of nineteenth century Teton Sioux Indians by Ella Cara Deloria.
Next meeting: Monday, May 10, 2010 – 7:30 p.m.
“Zaataar Days, Henna Nights: Adventures, Dreams, and Destinations Across the Middle East” by Maliha Masood.
