We have automatically renewed all materials through July 1. We are also not accepting returns of library materials at any of our locations or book drops. Please refer back to this page for the latest updates and when the library will start accepting item returns. Materials will be automatically renewed until August 1 if the book drop is not reopened by June 30, 2020.
Library materials may be renewed twice, as long as there is no pending request for the material. Our system is now set to automatically renew eligible materials. “Most Wanted” books and interlibrary loan materials are not renewable. Library renewals are not permitted if a patron’s fines are $10 or more.
Call (847) 590-8706 to renew by phone. You will be welcomed to the renewal system and asked to enter your library card number.
Renewing Library Materials Via the Web
Renew library materials online through the Library Catalog via My Account or use the “Login” button in the menu above.
Login with your library card number (or username) and password (PIN).
If you have not set a password, the default password is the last four digits of your primary phone number.
Click “Items Out”. Check the items to be renewed, or click the checkbox in the header to select all. Then click the “Renew Selected Items” button. If an item cannot be renewed, there will be an alert on the screen.
How to Change Your Password or Username
In the Library Catalog click on “My Account”, then log in.
Click on “My Record” and then “Change Logon”.
Making the Font Bigger
This can be done from the browser usually under View at the top of most Internet browsers (each browser is a bit different.)
