ImageEnder’s Game, by Orson Scott Card, is considered one of the classics of science fiction.  It has appeared near the top of any comprehensive list of the best of sci-fi and fantasy since it was originally published, in 1985.  It is the winner of both the Hugo and Nebula awards, the highest honors in the genre.  And yet, the long-delayed release of the film version of Ender’s Game has been accompanied by controversy and threats of boycott.

Orson Scott Card on "Earth Unaware" and "Ender's Game"

Publisher’s Weekly offers this interview with renowned author of the “Ender’s Game” series, Orson Scott Card, speaking about his latest work, “Earth Unaware.” It was just released as an audiobook. If you recall Ender Wiggins starts off as a brilliant six-year-old in Battle School and eventually is responsibile for leading the war to save Earth against the insectoid race (Buggers) from out of space, hence the Formic War.

Ender’s Game, Sci-Fi Classic Turns into Film

Fans of Orson Scott Card’s 1985 classic Ender’s Game  may be pleased to hear that the novel is being prepared for transition to film. Young Ender Wiggin arrives at Battle School and quickly rises to the top of the military academy which is desperately searching for a leader to ward off the alien formics, an antlike race threatening the world’s existence. Ender has to contend with harsh internal politics that make life at the average boarding school look like a picnic. Reports are that top stars are accepting key roles in the movie, to be released in March 2013.
