JRC is known for its joyful spirituality, intellectual curiosity, inclusivity, and deep commitment to social justice. We have built a highly acclaimed green building, but most of all, JRC is about people - our members. Our congregation is as diverse as the American Jewish community, including observant and nonobservant Jews, interfaith families, blended families, people of color, LGBTQ Jews, believers and nonbelievers.
NCJC is a warm and open community that shares and teaches Jewish culture and traditions through a secular perspective. Jewish Cultural Sunday School for grades K-7, Social and Religious Holiday Celebrations, community gatherings, teen and adult programs.
To bring in Shabbat, Hillel offers Friday night services, with student-led Reform, Conservative and Orthodox prayer services available and a communal dinner. Hillel celebrates the Jewish holidays throughout the year with services, fun festivities, and meaningful get-togethers.

The ARK provides free comprehensive care and support to Chicagoland Jews facing adversity. Dignified, quality wrap-around services help clients return to self-reliance.

The Medical Clinic of the Goldie Bachmann Luftig Health Center is open five days per week, including two evenings. Medical treatment is provided by volunteer physicians and The ARK’s professional medical staff. Patients make appointments to see internists, as well as cardiologists, gynecologists and other specialists. X-rays and other tests and procedures are performed at area hospitals at no charge to clients, through special arrangements. In addition to a food pantry and meal service, The ARK offers free optical, pharmacy, financial and employment counseling, social services, mental health day-programming and interim housing.
