Coriolis was formed to provide classical choral music enthusiasts the opportunity to sing challenging a cappella compositions in a skilled, dedicated, high quality chamber ensemble. Coriolis performs regularly during the Christmas holiday season at local restaurants and clubs. Coriolis rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:45pm to 9:30pm in Evanston. Chamber music organization with mission of bringing concerts of high quality and interest to the diverse population of Evanston. Concerts take place at S.P.A.C.E., 1245 Chicago Avenue, Evanston. Leading Chicago and internationally known musicians perform regularly with Dempster St. Pro Musica.
Evanston Township High School’s Jazz Ensemble. Hosts an annual Jazz Festival, Jazz Cabaret, and other concerts throughout the year featuring professional as well as amateur musicians.
The Evanston Children’s Choir provides first-rate choral music education and performance opportunities for young people of all ages, ability levels and voice types, emphasizing multiculturalism, inclusion and accessibility, and musical excellence through positive reinforcement. Groups include the Concert Choir (advanced), Youth Chorale (beginner-intermediate), Family Choir (all ages and voice types, including adults), and Story Choir (elementary). Tuition starts at $215 per semester, but families in need pay only the portion of the tuition which they can afford, on an honors system basis. No family is turned away for inability to pay.
Evanston Escola de Samba (EES) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring the spirit of samba to the Chicagoland area through education and performance of Brazilian music and dance.
It is the outreach initiative of the Orquestra de Samba. Offers workshops and residencies. Ongoing classes are held at the Music Institute of Chicago, Evanston campus.
Community organization that presents professional world music performances in each Evanston/Skokie District 65 school and two Evanston parochial schools twice a year, immersing students in the joy, appreciation and diversity of music. EISMA musical enrichment programs and community concerts (in collaboration with the Evanston Public LIbrary) are funded solely by donations from individuals, local businesses, community organizations, participating school PTAs, foundations, and grants.
The Evanston Jazz Festival (EJF) is a non-competitive event that emphasizes performance experience and clinic time for every participating ensemble.
The Evanston North Shore Community (ENSC) Mass Choir consists of adult singers from various churches throughout the North Shore community who celebrate through the rich tradition of African American religious music, ranging from inspirational spirituals to contemporary gospel tunes.

Founded by Ken Arlen, Arlen Music is a Chicago-based entertainment company that specializes in providing live customized music for special events. Winner of the 2015-2019 Best Band by Make It Better Magazine, Arlen Music is recognized as the leader and trendsetter within the Chicago special event industry. Evanston’s community concert band, composed of 35 music lovers ranging in age from 12 to 80 with a wide range of musical performance experience. Provides an easy-going, fun and supportive environment in which to play. All performances are free and open to the public. New members are welcome and auditions are not required.
Rehearsals are held most Tuesday evenings at the David Wood Field House in Kamen Park East, (South Boulevard and Barton Avenue), in South Evanston from 7:30 to 9:30PM.
Performance venue designed by musicians hosts a variety of musical shows. It’s housed under the same roof as Union Pizzeria, as well as the League of Creative Musicians, a membership club for musicians that has a state-of-the-art recording studio, rehearsal space and offers other services.

Evanston’s Gilbert and Sullivan theater company, founded in 1964. Performance annually in October at Chute Middle School auditorium.
Students receive private lessons in vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, saxophone and songwriting and are placed in a band/group with other students at similar skill levels; live performances take place throughout the year. A separate 12-week Adult Rocker program is offered.
