The Evanston Art Center (EAC) offers over 100 art classes multiple times per year for children and adults. Classes include: ceramics, drawing and painting, digital media and 3D printing, fiber, jewelry, metal sculpture, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and woodworking. The Art Center’s arts education programs provide art classes and summer camps to individuals 3 to 95 years old. EAC hosts numerous art exhibitions and programs each year in its gallery spaces, which are free and open to the public. EAC provides outreach programs to children in District 65 schools, seniors, and adults with mental and physical disabilities.
Presents independent films and videos to foster a dialogue between audiences, artists and guest speakers. Programs are developed in collaboration with diverse groups to reflect community concerns and perspectives.
Programs take place at the Evanston Public Library. DVD’s shown are purchased by Reeltime for the Evanston Public Library and are available for checkout.
The Talking Pictures Festival presents independent films from around the world mixed with brand new offerings by local filmmakers. The annual festival features animated films, documentaries, fiction films and shorts that entertain, engage and challenge.
The Talking Pictures Festival is organized by Percolator Films. For the festival, Percolator Films has partnered with local businesses and organizations as well as the Evanston Public Library.
