The Black Business Consortium of Evanston/Northshore (BBCENS) is a group of Black business owners who have agreed to come together to share resources, network, discuss common concerns, and to facilitate support among each other. Also sponsors annual Tour de Noir, a narrated bus tour that highlights Black-owned businesses located in all nine wards of Evanston, and publishes directory of local Black-owned businesses.

LEND is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides business plan workshops, microloans and consulting services to entrepreneurs in the Evanston community. Loans of $500 to $10,000 are made to Evanston-based entrepreneurs who do not qualify for traditional bank loans due to a lack of credit or insufficient assets. LEND also works with the City of Evanston's Entrepreneurship Support Program, targeted towards minority and women entrepreneurs.
